What movies have you seen recently? - Enchantress - 04-18-2005 Well, with a baby it's safe to say we haven't been to the movies in a while. So fill me in on what you've seen recently and if you liked it or not. The most "recent" movie I've seen was The Forgotten. I started watching it thinking I wasn't going to like it, and it completely sucked me in. I jumped like 4 times during it! It was soooo NOT what I thought it was going to be, was a really good movie actually. I saw the Village on Pay per view a few weekends ago. Man, is it me or is M Night just dropping the ball on these movies anymore? I saw that ending coming a mile away! I think Signs was the last movie he did I enjoyed...without it involving alcohol. - SLVRSR4 - 04-18-2005 "SIN CITY" All I've got to say is WOW. Visuallly amazing. If you love film noir or if you just like GOOD movies, SEE THIS MOVIE! Quite bloody and graphic though for any with a distaste for such things. ELIJAH WOOD PLAYS THE CREEPIEST CHARACTER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - GlennWalker - 04-18-2005 "Sideways" - unimpressed. "Casino Royale" from 1954 - other than Bond being American, much better than any of the 1980s and 90s Bonds. "Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter" - blasphemous and hilarious. "Elektra" - pretty but pointless. "Finding Neverland" - another great performance from both Johnny Depp and Kate Winslett, see it. "Battle Royale" - fun and brutal, but nowhere near lives up to the hype. "The Caveman's Valentine" - the best film I've seen this year. Samuel L. Jackson is brilliant and Kasi Lemons is one of the best and most underrated directors working today. "Catwoman" - there's a place in Hell reserved for everyone involved in making this film, but rent the DVD for "The Many Lives of Catwoman," one of the best comic documentaries I've seen in a while.
